You can name this family, set the amount of funds it has, and also set the rent. The menu will allow you to select a family from the list of sims living on the lot. Once you’ve done that, you can right click on any one of the new members and set ‘Families’.
To get multiple families living in one Sims 3 building, you first need to merge all the families you want living in your new Sims 3 apartment complex. The mod creator reccomends setting a cap of four families per lot, though the number could theoretically go much higher than that, you could also make your computer’s CPU go and cry in the corner. The mod is controlled by right clicking on sims which allows you to set your active family and choose the settings you want to use for the mod. Now you can control the lives of several families on one lot (although one family can still only be active at a time.)
This Sims 3 mod does what we’ve all dreamed of – it allows you to create multi-story apartment buildings with several different sim families living on a single lot.
